The Virgins are a 4-piece rock band from New York City, and this is their flagship single (though this may/may not be the official video for it). It’s been out for a while now, but I only came across it a couple of nights ago, and its shamelessly 70s funk groove has been tirelessly strutting across my brain ever since.
Cynics may dismiss them as yet another largely unproven ‘next big thing’ (and with only 1 EP out, it’s hard to argue otherwise); hipsters will afford you a smug welcome to 8 months ago. But at the end of the day, who really cares? All it comes down to now is you, the uncontrollable urge to dance like no-one’s watching, and that bassline.
