Simply pouring someone else’s commercial hot sauce over food isn’t really in the spirit of these type of challenges. So easy to make your own chilli preparations from scratch using raw ingredients, there really aren’t any excuses for taking shortcuts.

You need only look at the way these types of challenges are presented in the United States, where most establishments manufacture/source their own unique chilli concoctions.

Besides, the Mega Death sauce isn’t even the hottest sauce in the Blair’s range (the title of which belongs to the Ultra Death sauce, excluding the even hotter extracts).

I have met the challenge and made it to the legends wall for finishing the megadeath burger some time ago. It was an experience for sure, and while I know betther than to touch my streaming eyes with my hands, the hot fumes seeped through the napkin as I tried to wipe away the tears running down my face. I couldn't see my plate for all the fluids leaving my eyes and nose, but once I washed away the saline, I finished the burger with ease. My mouth was numb compared to the hell my eyes had been feeling. Howver, I have to say that I could not taste any of the burger, just the heat. I loved the experience, but I am going back for a plain one next time.

I used to work here and trust me, it wasnt made to taste good. if you want a really tastey burger, try one of the normal ones on the menu.. theyre all definatly a 10/10 in my opinion :)

i love the new ownership, theyre all the most lovely people :)

well i’ve never tried the burger but recently there was a competition held for the fastest time with the burger. There was definately a clear winner but the man that still had food in his MOUTH won, Rigged?

I would like to say that the previous owners made a superb hottest burger that was hot and tasty at the same time, however the new ownership has made me lose my appetite for a good burger and if you are after a plain burger that is quite costly for its taste than this would be the place for you. Food and service 2/10!!! Not recommended!!

That’s true. I can only look back fondly at the Chimiburger (R.I.P.) who did manage to successfully marry an indisputable health hazard with oustanding taste.

I don’t think the Chilli Burger was intended to be a pleasurable experience. I believe it was designed to test your mettle and burn off your face.

If you want a chilli-based culinary pleasantry, go to Oporto.

I came with my wife expecting a hot and interesting burger. The burger was hot but the tatste crap. It was to big to dry and I did not want to finish it. Not beacuse I wanted to be a hero but because I appreciate good food. This is not good food, It is a construed hype and unwervy of classification.
Owner, try to add some flavour, listen to valid feedback, get smart!

desapointing!!! Hot (chilli) food doesn’t need to taste bad for it to be chalenge!!! I would not recommend the place !! Please make it nice and hot, to make of the chalenge an enjoyable and memorable event !!! But the owner think it has to be dry and terrible on taste….too bad!!!
