Must have been quite something to have a bird’s eye view of this disaster. Was it weird much?

Thought you might also like these before/after photos which are similar to yours… http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/floodrelief/queensland-floods-interactive-before-and-after-photos/story-fn7ik2te-1225987255127

The strangest bit about the flood was that all the places I grew up in were flooded. I know lots of people that were affected whereas I was not. I could see the effects of the flood; all the debris floating down the river, the CBD becoming a ghost town, the power outages across Brisbane (especially South Bank, Milton and West End), but all we had was the occasional lift outage and the possibility of the power being cut. I guess it’s partly survivor’s guilt.

Those photos on news.com.au is exactly where I got the idea from. Thought I could also contribute with the perspective from my vantage point.
